Address

Tanjung Widoro village, Bungah district, Gresik Regency, East Java

Getting here

Use the map or Google Maps for directions, and check the latest road and parking conditions with the team. The centre is about 27 km from Gresik town centre and 13 km from Bungah. Minibuses (Elf size) can drive to the site. Large buses stop at Sembilang Pak Kasan, and a shuttle takes the group the rest of the way.

Tides and best times

Visits are by appointment and activities are timed around the tide. Shorebirds feed on the mudflats at low tide; planting and boat trips need the right water level.

Site rules

  • Do not walk over newly planted areas.
  • Do not cut mangroves. Leaves may be taken for fodder only with the team’s permission.
  • Do not litter; take your rubbish home.
